Pricing: subscription or credits?

Final Round AI is a subscription. Its plan page showed Prep at $125/month billed every two months, Offer at $83.33/month billed half-yearly, and Career at $62.50/month billed annually. These are monthly equivalents, not month-to-month subscriptions. In our signed-in session on October 30, 2026, a limited 8% offer reduced the displayed rates to $115, $76.67 and $57.50/month respectively. That offer may differ for other visitors or expire. We did not complete checkout or verify the final charge.

The homepage separately advertises Pro from "$25+/mo" without explaining the matching billing period. We could not reconcile that teaser with the plan cards, so we use the visible plan cards for this comparison. The homepage says there is no free trial of live sessions; its free plan covers preparation materials.

Parakeet AI lets you pay per session. One credit costs $38.00, and half a credit covers a 30-minute call session or mock interview. Packs bring the price down: 3 credits for $59.00, 8 for $118.00 and 15 for $177.00 ($11.80 per credit). If you would rather not count, Unlimited costs $149.90 a month, $599.90 a year (shown as $49.99/month) or $78 for a week.

What Parakeet costs by number of interviews

Parakeet bills in half-credit steps of 30 minutes. The figures below are our arithmetic from the public price list, assuming each interview lasts up to an hour (two half-credits). We have not checked how Parakeet rounds a call that runs over a half-hour mark.

Interview hours you expectCredits neededSingle-pack example (not a minimum-cost calculation)
1 hour (one interview)11 credit, $38
2–3 hours2–33-credit pack, $59
4–8 hours4–88-credit pack, $118
9–15 hours9–1515-credit pack, $177

Compare those packs with Unlimited over your actual schedule: if all sessions fit in one week, the $78 weekly plan costs less than the $118 or $177 packs. Across a month, $149.90 monthly Unlimited costs less than the $177 pack. These are price comparisons, not a check of plan restrictions or credit expiry.

At standard displayed rates, Final Round Prep works out to $250 for two months (our arithmetic: $125 × 2), versus $299.80 for two months of Parakeet monthly Unlimited ($149.90 × 2). That makes Prep $49.80 less over that period if you need unlimited access throughout both months. Parakeet's $59 credit pack or $78 weekly plan may cost less for a short interview schedule. This comparison excludes temporary offers, taxes and any checkout adjustments.

For a full year, Parakeet lists $599.90 upfront (about $49.99/month). Final Round Career is $62.50/month billed annually, or $750 by arithmetic. Parakeet is therefore $150.10 lower at those standard displayed rates. The Final Round screenshot shows a temporary discount; neither the discount nor the homepage's $25+ teaser should replace a comparison of the actual billing periods.

Who Final Round AI is for

  • Candidates running a long search who want one place to keep each target job, resume and materials.
  • People who will use practice interviews and automatic debriefs, not just live help.
  • Candidates using the desktop app on a recent Mac (14.4 or later) or Windows. The plan FAQ also lists mobile browsers; we have not verified which live features or Stealth Mode capabilities are available there.

It fits less well if you want to try live answers before paying, since the pricing page says there is no free trial.

Who Parakeet AI is for

  • Candidates with a few interviews soon who want to test with 10 free short sessions first.
  • People who need a browser, Linux (through desktop Chrome) or phone route.
  • Interviews in languages other than English: Parakeet says it supports 50+ languages.

Parakeet's $149.90 monthly Unlimited plan costs more than the other displayed monthly equivalents here, but its $599.90 annual plan changes the comparison. Extra preparation tools are priced separately, so compare the features you need as well as the billing period.

The third option: SkillCopilotAI

If neither billing model fits, SkillCopilotAI sits between them. It has a limited 30-minute trial, so you can test live help before paying, which Final Round does not offer. Its paid plans are flat subscriptions with unlimited use of the included features, so you never count credits as you would on Parakeet.

SkillCopilotAI planBilledMonthly equivalent
Monthly$89.90 per month$89.90
Quarterly$179.70 every 3 months$59.90
Yearly$346.80 per year$28.90

Paid plans list unlimited real-time interview help, AI mock interviews, Coding Copilot, Online Quiz Assistant and Smart Screenshot. Stealth Mode is included in every tier. Model access does change by plan: the trial and monthly plan use lighter models such as GPT-5.6-Luna, Claude Haiku 4.5 and Gemini 3 Flash, and larger models are reserved for the quarterly and yearly tiers. First-time buyers of quarterly and yearly plans can ask for a full refund within 3 days. Monthly plans are non-refundable. See the pricing and refund conditions before paying; refund eligibility is subject to the applicable terms.

Where SkillCopilotAI fits best, whichever tool you lean toward

  • If Final Round AI looks right (job-specific prep plus live help): SkillCopilotAI covers the same mix of mock practice, live help and coding, and you can try it first. Its quarterly or yearly equivalent ($59.90 or $28.90 per month) is worth comparing with the Final Round total you are actually shown at checkout.
  • If Parakeet AI looks right (just a few interviews): for one or two short interviews, a small Parakeet credit pack will probably cost less than any SkillCopilotAI plan. SkillCopilotAI becomes the better fit once you expect enough sessions and practice that counting credits gets in the way, or that Parakeet's $149.90 Unlimited plan looks likely.

SkillCopilotAI is not the right pick if you need a browser-only or phone workflow, or interview-specific add-ons such as AI headshots. Parakeet lists both.

Before you use any live interview assistant

Check the interview's rules first. Parakeet's own site says it is built "for conversations where AI assistance is permitted" and will block employer domains on request. Some coding platforms and proctoring tools flag unusual behavior regardless of what shows on a screen share. Do a full rehearsal with a friend on the same meeting app, with audio and screen sharing, before a real round.

Frequently asked questions

Is Final Round AI or Parakeet AI cheaper?

For two months of Unlimited access, Final Round Prep totals $250 by arithmetic, versus $299.80 for two Parakeet monthly payments. For a year, Parakeet lists $599.90 versus Final Round Career's $750 annual equivalent. A few interviews may cost less with Parakeet credits or weekly access. Confirm the billing period and checkout total.

Can I try Final Round AI live for free?

Not according to its pricing page, which says there is no free trial and live sessions need Pro. The free plan covers Goals, resume materials and job-description prep.

Does Parakeet AI have a free plan?

It offers 10 free sessions of up to 10 minutes each and one free mock interview. After that you buy credits or a plan.

Which one works on a phone?

Parakeet lists mobile-browser access on iOS and Android. Final Round's plan FAQ also lists mobile browsers, while its homepage emphasizes the desktop app and phone screens through another device. We have not verified feature parity or screen-share hiding on mobile for either tool.

Can interviewers detect Final Round AI or Parakeet AI?

Both vendors say their apps stay hidden during screen sharing. Those are vendor claims; we have not tested them, and coding platforms or proctoring software can flag behavior that has nothing to do with what appears on a shared screen. Don't plan around being invisible.

Is it allowed to use these tools in a real interview?

That depends on the employer's and the platform's rules, not on the tool. If AI help is not explicitly permitted, use these tools for practice only. This is not legal advice.
